THE BUCKET MAKER

I Taut I Taw a Putty Tat?
Society taut wrong?
Proverbs 4:23

Do you remember the animated cartoon by Warner Bros. Tweety and Sylvester where on occasion, Tweety sees Sylvester the cat approaching him to devour him?
At least that is what Tweety assumes (mind games). This past week, I had a customer place a custom order of Tweety Bird for her niece.
As I was making the bucket, the fabric brought great memories of my childhood of watching cartoons.

The word Tweet today plays a powerful role in our society, be it a good tuat (thought) or bad one, true or false or to build up or break down.
We live in a society that tweets all day long. In fact, there are many who have become professional twitters…… I taut, I taut, I taut!

Unfortunately, we have come to a point in society where we can’t shut off the tauts (tweets).
In fact, we actually look for them from the moment we wake up to the moment we turn down for the night.
As if it was a fix, a drug, a sedative to bring us to that social buzz (high). It’s no wonder why scientists have declared social media as a drug.
As endorphins go rushing through our veins just to see likes on our post. The more likes the greater the head rush.
The fewer likes, the depression sets in- “no one likes my tauts!” Amazing to think that one tweet (taut) can bring unwanted intrusive thoughts which are thoughts that get stuck in our minds and even cause great distress. And at times, they seem to come from out of nowhere, arrive with a whoosh, and cause a great deal of anxiety. What is more alarming is that this is becoming a real pandemic or epidemic. Hundreds of negative thoughts go rushing through one’s mind just from one TWEET… “I Taut I Taw a Putty Tat, someone tweets- then to another and so on and so forth. From on tweet into millions and some not even with one bit of truth or worth.

It is estimated that more than 6 million people in the United States are troubled by them—those unwanted intrusive thoughts. That is because anxious thinking takes over, and the thought—as obtrusive as it might be—one continues to allow its power overrun one’s mind!
Just the taut of it… brings anxiety! But rather than walking away from the source of pain (tweets), it would seem that too often the social media drug addict goes right back to the internet drug – hit me up for another negative taut! An unwanted taut added to another and another by streaming for more, getting deeper entanglement with more anxious tauts, struggling against them, and trying to reason them away.
It’s no wonder the Bible says “from the profoundness of one’s heart speaks the taut (mouth) ” Proverbs.

So I have to ask you this taut…
Is what your tweeting today from your heart to build up, or break down? To encourage or discourage, to share, or tare?
What’s your tauts …??
God bless you…
